Frequently Asked Questions

Does the price include the DVSA upload fee?
Yes, the price you pay includes everything, no extra charges

What if I have to cancel, is there a cancellation fee?
No, no extra fees for online sessions, even if you can’t make it at the last minute I will simply put you on the next course you can do. You always get the hours you’ve paid for, no quibble

Do you charge extra for courses on evenings or weekends?

No, most drivers don’t work office hours so neither do I! It’s the same price regardless of the time

When do you send joining instructions?
For daytime courses instructions are emailed the evening before the course you are booked on. For evening courses instructions are sent the afternoon the day of the course. If you’ve not received instructions at least 1 hour before the course is due to start please call 07984026281

How long till the course is uploaded to my record?
Takes up to a week for the hours to show online. If your CPC runs out imminently please let me know so I can prioritise your upload

What app do you use for the online courses?
I use Zoom, it’s a free app or you can use via web browser, there is no charge to join a meeting

Do I need a computer?

No, you can use any device with a microphone and a camera, even your phone as long as you can clearly see the presentation on the screen. I must be able to see and hear you at all times

If my Driver CPC runs out do I lose the courses I have already done?

No, any courses you have done, either with me or another provider remain valid for 5 years

Can I repeat the same course?

No, each course has to be different modules. However repeating once is allowed should you not fully understand the first time, for instance drivers hours. If you’ve done courses with other providers any of mine are suitable as no two providers courses are exactly the same

Do I have to do both evenings of the evening courses?

Yes, currently the rules state you can split a 7 hour course between 2 consecutive days so you have to do both, one the day after the other

Do you cancel courses if not enough people are booked on it?

No, if you book an online course it will go ahead, even if it's just you! I would never cancel because of low numbers, but rarely is this actually an issue. In person courses are different, but you will be advised accordingly at booking if there is any risk of change

Do I have to pass a test?

No, Driver CPCs are attendance only, no tests.

(Unless you are doing the Transport Manager CPC which is totally different)

When I’ve completed 35 hours how do I get my Driver CPC card?

Once the full 35 hours are uploaded your card will be sent automatically

How can I check how many hours I have done?
Using this website - https://www.gov.uk/check-your-driver-cpc-periodic-training-hours

What do I do if my hours don’t show online or I don’t receive my card?

If the hours don’t show within a week or you don’t get your card within 2 weeks please contact me so I can check the uploads went through ok

If I did a Transport Managers CPC with you does that count towards my Driver CPC?

Yes, the Transport Manager CPC I run counts for the full 35 hours Driver CPC

Who is Albert and does he attend the in-person courses?

Can I give Albert a treat?
